I have co-facilitated a moodle course I went into the moodle about 3 times a day to answer questions or join in on the forums
. We split the students into teams for some of the assignments and they had to evaluate and seek out the information together using the forums to organize google docs voicethreads elluminate sessions and building wikis.
We were able to watch the progress. The assignments were easy to manage and students showed no problems submitting assessments. The books were tremendous each element had its own workbook, you could add your study guides, resources, movies, screenrs and links to websites that helped the learners understand further.
Moodle has made all the work easy having it contained within moodle. Also meeting in elluminate for community building and guidance gave us real time communication and lesson planning. The ability to open the course content the day before each elluminate session gave the students a peak at what was coming.
It is a tidy way to e-facilitate using elluminate and Moodle and I highly recomend it.
